We made this recipe in Food in Nutrition last week and it was seriously one of the best things I've had so far.
I always thought that making cinnamon rolls would take so long and that it would be kind of complicated but not at all!
These ones are so easy to make, I think it only took me around 30 minutes.
Im kind of excited to share them with you because they are so delicious! I think I made them 2 times on the weekend haha.
Have fun baking and tell me what you think of them after you tried them! Love, Tina

CINNAMON ROLLS WITH VANILLA ICING
- QUICK AND EASY TO MAKE - NO YEAST REQUIRED-

                   Ingredients:                                             Directions:

                                       Dough:                                                                                                                         1. Preheat oven to 425 F ( 218 C )
1/4 cup shortening (60g)                                                                           2. In a large mixing bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt together.
2 cups flour (470g)                                                                                         3. Cut shortening into flour mixture until mixture resembles fine crumbs (using a pastry blender)
1 Tbsp salt (15ml)                                                                                               4. Stir in just enough milk so dough leaves the sides of the bowl and rounds up into a ball.
1 Tbsp baking powder (15ml)                                                                     5. Turn dough out on a lightly floured counter surface. Knead lightly about five times.
3/4 cup milk (185 ml)                                                                                        6. Using a floured rolling pin, roll the dough out into a rectangular shape slightly larger than a DIN A4 paper.
                                                                                                                                                                                 7. Spread softened margarine over the surface of the dough.
Filling:                                                                                                                       8. Sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon over the dough.
3 Tbsp margarine, softened (45 g)                                                        9. Roll the dough up along the long edge of the rectangle.
                                         1/4 cup brown sugar (60 g)                                                                      10.  Use thread to cut 2 inch ( 2,5 cm ) circles.
1 tsp cinnamon (5ml)                                                                                      11. Place on a greased cookie sheet.
                                                                                                                                                                                12. Bake for approximately 12 minutes until golden brown.
                                        Icing:                                                                                                                    Icing:
1/2 cup icing sugar (120 g)                                                                          1. Mix together icing sugar, milk and vanilla
1 1/2 Tbsp milk (approximately 20 ml)                                                    2. Drizzle over cooked cinnamon rolls
                                        1/4 tsp vanilla (1ml)

Makes approximately 12 pieces.
